President's Daily Diary

The weekend was good. It started off with the Exe Ladies Tournament where DHUA were providing umpires and coaching at St. James’ School in Exeter; the weather was kind and the Umpire Coaches and Umpires worked together to get up to speed for the season ahead.

After travelling to London overnight I returned Sunday to watch a new umpire who has arrived in the Devon. Tim is currently on the A Panel of National Young Umpire Promising List; he will be in Devon for 3 years as he studies in Plymouth.

Monday morning started with answering a few emails about the new ‘Devon HUA Availability Emails’ function. This is an AUTOMATED email and cannot be ‘switched off’ by the webmaster. See story at http://www.devonhockey.net/Public/News.php

Reviewed the DHUA Treasurer’s and Appointment Secretary’s Reports for the AGM on Sunday 18 September 2011 at ISCA Clubhouse, starting at 11.00 am prompt. Also prepared for the DHUA Management Committee Meeting at The Dolphin Hotel, Bovey Tracey this evening starting at 7.30 p.m.
