DCHUA Vice Presidents Honoured

Roger Reffell, a very long standing member of DCHUA and according to reports an original member, was elected as a Vice President of DCHUA at the AGM on 11 May 2007. Roger was unable to attend the AGM so I took the opportunity to present Roger with a framed certificate at the ‘ISCA 30 Years On’ tournament at Exeter University on Saturday 9 June 2007. The presentation was made after Roger has umpired ISCA Vintage v Great Britain Vintage, the opening game of the 4 game tournament that was celebrating the fact that 10 members of ISCA had been playing members for 30 years.

I also took the opportunity to present a framed certificate to Kevin Hughes, another original, to celebrate his election as a Vice President about 10 years ago. Kevin was at the tournament resplendent in his DCHUA Umpire Kit as Umpire Manager and clearly itching to get on and blow a game.
